The following projects were completed by Moore & Associates in 1995.

Law Firm

Expert Consultation. In this project, Moore & Associates acted as an expert consultant to a law firm for a design and engineering supplier to the pulp and paper industry. The effort included an analysis of recovered paper supply available during the time frame of a start up of a new deinking project. The project included an assessment of the processability of a variety of office waste paper grades to produce a given quality of deink market pulp. (1995)

Major U.S. Pulp and Paper Producer

An Evaluation of Solid Waste Management Firms. A detailed analysis of solid waste management companies in the United States as growing new sources of recovered paper for a recycle pulp and paper company. (1995)

Northeastern Recycle Boxboard Mill

Due Diligence on Recovered Paper Purchasing and Long Range Price Forecasting For Potential Acquisition. This project involved an analysis of the existing recovered paper purchasing practices at a recycle boxboard mill and projections of future trends in recovered paper supply. The project was a due diligence assessment for a mill that was being offered for sale. (1995)

Multiple Region Paper Processor

An Evaluation and Development of a Company's Planned Recycling Business Strategy. This project analyzed a new company's approach to developing a paper recycling business. It included a critical flaws analysis, development of a business approach, and a mission statement. (1995)

Intermediate Processor of Solid Waste

An Analysis of Long Range Mixed Waste Paper Markets. This project was performed to support a secondary financing for a solid waste processing equipment supplier producing a system to separate out a low grade mixed waste paper from a municipal solid waste stream. The project included an analysis and price forecasting of mixed waste paper markets for the second half of the 1990s. (1995)

Upper Midwest Recycle Containerboard Mill

An Analysis of Waste Paper Purchasing Practices. This project included an analysis of all recovered paper practices at a 100% recycle containerboard mill. Also included as part of this work were future supply and demand trends for old corrugated containers, mixed waste paper, and residential mixed waste paper. (1995)

Recycle Containerboard and Tissue Manufacturer

A Competitive Strategy Analysis of a Recovered Paper Processor/User. This project examined a competitive intermediate processor of recovered paper in two major fiber basins in the U.S., the upper Midwest and the Mid-Atlantic states. The project covered OCC, mixed paper, and high grades. (1995)

North American Recycle Newsprint Producer

Price Forecasting for ONP and OMG. This project involved a long range supply and demand and price forecasting analysis of old newspapers (ONP) and old magazines (OMG). The company used the analysis to justify construction of a new facility and to determine whether to keep existing recycle mill capacity open. (1995)

Solid Waste Hauler

Recovered Paper Sales and Brokerage Organizational Strategy. This project examined a solid waste hauler's recovered paper sales organization and made recommendations on increasing its brokerage activity. (1995)

Recycle Containerboard Producer

Feasibility of Siting a 100% Recycle Linerboard Mill in a Chicago Area Recycling Industrial Park. This project considered all aspects of siting a new greenfield 100% recycled containerboard mill. (1995)

Recycling Processor

An Analysis of Paper Recycling Business Opportunities. This project includes an analysis of a company currently in the recycling processing sector, but not handling any paper materials. The project defined the best opportunities for the company to enter the paper recycling field. (1995)

Regional Product Producer

A Product Recycling Strategy Seminar. This effort was an update and a continuation of educating the client's organization on their strategy to increase the recovery rate of the company's distributed product. (1995)
