William P. Moore - President
Mr. Moore is president of Moore & Associates, an
international consulting firm engaged in providing a range of strategic services to the paper recycling industry. Prior to his many years as a consultant, he held a series of
positions in the solid waste, paper and recycling industries. These included founder and vice president of Paper Recycling International (a joint venture of Stone
Container) and director of recycling for Waste Management, Inc. He was responsible for the startup of Waste Management's "Recycle America" program, the
largest introduction of recycling services in the United States. Mr. Moore's knowledge base includes all aspects of the worldwide supply and demand of recovered paper.
Jerry Rose - Senior Associate
Jerry Rose has spent his entire business career, well over 40 years, working in the paper industry. Starting as a Tour Boss in a paper mill right out college, he went
on to hold a number of senior management positions. He was Vice President of mill operations for Simkins Industries, General Manager of Manufacturing for the
Tissue Division for Potlatch Corporation and Vice President and General Manager of two operating divisions for the Continental Group. He was a principal with the
Standard Group and Allegheny Tissue Corporation. Mr. Rose brings a world of technical and hands on management experience to Moore & Associates. He is an
expert in procurement and operational management. Mr. Rose is a graduate of the New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse.
Peter Engel - Senior Associate
Peter Engel's skills and experience cover a broad range of technical and analytical disciplines as well as management and supervision of major domestic and
international projects for development, implementation, and analysis of integrated waste management systems, materials recovery and composting facilities, and
collection programs, including: process design, equipment specification, cost analysis, privatization, computer modeling of solid waste systems, composting pilot
studies, facility permitting, market surveys, atmospheric dispersion modeling, and demand/supply projections. Mr. Engel brings to Moore & Associates his unique
skills in materials supply analysis and development. As well, he manages Moore & Associates' paper price databases performing numerous analyses of price trends
and patterns. A research consultant and environmental scientist since 1987, Mr. Engel holds a BA in Human Ecology from Connecticut College, and a MS in Resource
Management & Administration from Antioch University.
Ray Petermeyer - Associate
Ray has spent 54 years in the industry, managing operations for several paper recycling companies on the West Coast. He started E-Z Recycling (Portland, OR) in
1980, which merged in 1982 with Far West Fibers from where he recently retired. He has been active in the Paper Stock Industries (PSI) Chapter of the Institute of
Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) where he served as President 1998-2000. He also was a member of ISRI's board of directors for a number of years. With a
background in paper recycling operations and management, he will focus on the company's consulting services on the West Coast.
David Allan - Associate
David Allan joined the paper industry 25 years ago as the
newsprint and printing/writing editor for Pulp & Paper Week. In 1986 he became Marketing Director of Abitibi-Price, playing a key role in the company's growth strategy and in
the integration of its marketing activities with those of Stone Consolidated and Donohue following mergers with those firms. In 2001, he left to lead a market research group within
Enron's forest products trading subsidiary. Since January 2002, his Houston, Texas-based firm specializes in strategic direction and market research for the forest products
industry. His work with Moore & Associates focuses on the newsprint market.
Mahendra Doshi - Associate
Dr. Mahendra Doshi received B. S. degree in Chemical
Engineering from Bombay University, India and M. S. and Ph.D. degrees also in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University, Potsdam, NY. Dr. Doshi joined the Institute of
Paper Chemistry in 1977 and later, he formed his own company, Doshi and Associates, Inc. and then launched the publication of a quarterly journal, Progress in Paper Recycling.
Dr. Doshi is well known in the paper recycling industry for his continuing education courses and seminars at central and company locations. Topics covered include
Introduction to Pulp & Paper Technology, Introduction to Paper Recycling, Advances in Paper Recycling, Management and Control of Wax and Stickies and Refining of Chemical Pulps.
In November 2001, Doshi was recipient of The Pulp Manufacture Division Technical Award (the Division's highest technical award) as well as the associated Johan C. F
. C. Richter Prize in recognition of his contributions to TAPPI and the paper industry. In May 2004 Doshi was designated as TAPPI Fellow in recognition of meritorious
service to the Association and the industry. In March 2007 Doshi was recipient of The Paper and Board Division Award as well as the associated Harris O. Ware Prize.
Mahendra Doshi will be a valuable asset to the Moore & Associates' team, adding his technical capabilities that are highly regarded in the industry.
